ebeepaperie's Mini Makeover

I can barely believe it has been a MONTH since I last wrote on the blog!

While b was at work yesterday I decided to freshen up ebeepaperie just a wee tad. Thankfully he loved the changes when he got home.

So they are slight, but I updated the blog, added a background to the blog & website, and increased the size of the header. The changes probably aren't too noticeable, but we are pleased with them. It was just enough and exactly what I was looking to do. Poor ebeepaperie has been a wee bit neglected lately. I have tons of new designs to add to the website & etsy shop and just need to find the time to get them on. Hopefully soon. This is going to be my priority for the next while.

A Little Note About Labor Day Shipping

Just a little note about shipping for the holiday . . . any orders placed today will ship by Saturday, but any orders placed tomorrow or over the weekend won't ship until Tuesday (as there won't be any mail service in the US on Monday).

New Blog!

Hello blog friends! This post is pretty much cross posted from the Ink Obsession blog but I thought that would be OK.

For a while I've felt a little scattered/overwhelmed with social media. My days have been spent designing, printing, proofing and shipping and I haven't had much time for much else. I love blogging but with both my blogs really being business blogs I sometimes feel like maybe I need to keep them more businesslike. So with that in mind I knew it was time to do something new. I needed to start a blog that was just for me and about me. A blog about the day in the life of a designer where I could write whatever I wanted. So that is what I've done.

This new blog is going to be a little more me, a little more about Erin Bradley Designs, and filled with lots of tips of what has helped me run three successful handmade businesses over the last few years. I'm still going to keep this blog and the Ink Obsession blog going but they are going to be more business oriented, focusing on designs, sales, and all kinds of other little goodies.

I hope you'll follow me over at the new blog too. I'm really excited for this new adventure and for you to learn a little bit more about me!

Hello There!

Hello blog friends! It's been too long! We hope everybody has been doing well. Poor ebeepaperie has taken a back seat to our other shops, Ink Obsession Designs & Erin Bradley Designs these last few weeks which has made us a little sad, but we are slowly but surely catching up and will have new designs coming soon (which, don't we say that in like every blog post? Mental note to self: less talking, more doing!).

We can't believe it is August which means it is getting close to the end of summer. It seems like all the things we told ourselves were were going to do this year didn't quite get done yet. Well we still have a little time left, right? Here's to cramming a few months of fun into the next several weeks.

We promise to chat more soon. Thanks for being patient!

So on the heels of our "we're going to be better bloggers!" post, we totally dropped the ball. Yikes! It suddenly got much busier than expected so our blog and twitter accounts have unfortunately been neglected a little more than we would like. We do promise to be back very, very soon!

To give you a quick update, here's what we have been up to . . .

We reopened our Erin Bradley Designs shop (more info on that to come!)
We've been working on a new designs
We've been working on an entirely new line
We're throwing around an idea for another new line, but need to purchase to new equipment/find space to do it, so that is still in the "we'll see" pile

And, in case you are wondering, the photo above has nothing to do with anything we are working on, but we thought it was pretty and wanted to at least give you something nice to look at! :)

First things first. I was looking for a photo for my other blog and came across this mustache tea cup. How fun is that? I think we may need these in our home. Even B would agree!

This is a semi-cross post from my other blog, Ink Obsession Designs. I have to apologize for the lack of blog posts, comments & tweets this past week. Since I've reopened my etsy graphics shop (Erin Bradley Designs - more on that to come!) it has been a little hectic here (but hectic in a great way!).

We're trying to reorganize this blog and we're almost there. In any event some decent content should be coming to you very soon!

Etsy Crush

As I was catching up on blogs today I stopped in at Evy's Tree. I was really excited to see they are having a sale on their Simple Hoodies, which I simply adore.

The sale will be on through the 26th. I think I am going to go for a pink hoodie myself. And probably brown too. Those are my signature colors after all! :)

Our New Fave Shop

Although we admit we totally don't have our new packaging down for ebeepaperie, we do know that we plan on incorporating bakers twine in some way, shape or form.

You can only imagine how excited we were to find The Twinery. Oh my gosh. Talk about bakers twine goodness! They haven't officially launched yet (not until July) but they currently have sample packs available in their Etsy shop.

We absolutely cannot wait to order from them. Which are your favorite colors? We (well me - "e") love the pink and we both love the red, purple & blue. I think we'll have to (eventually) stock one of each color though.

Exciting! Our first treasury!

Light at the End of the Tunnel

We've been bad bloggers lately and we know it. We decided to push forward and get the ebeepaperie website going and we actually almost have it done! We are just waiting to get switched to our permanent server and then it will officially be ready to go. Then we'll really feel open for business and that will feel really good. Once that is out of the way we'll be able to focus on some real content for the blog and move forward. This is shaping up to be quite an exciting week!

Studio Overhaul

Since ebeepaperie is not our first stationery venture (many of you now know that we also own Ink Obsession Designs) we are lucky to already have a nice little studio space established in our 1923 bungalow and have a ton of inventory all set and ready to go.

But we've had to buy a lot of new stock for ebee. Every day for the last week we have been getting a ton of shipments in. New paper, new envelopes, new packaging, more ink, etc.

and our little studio space is quickly filling up fast! This weekend we spent a little time rearranging things, hanging new shelving, and getting all of our files super organized, but I'm not sure we are going to keep it that way. I feel like the space is just a wee bit cramped so we are trying to think of alternative ways to keep everything organized. We've been talking about adding on or possibly converting our attic into a workspace. Ideally I'd love to have one room that is just for designing & printing and then another room to stock all the supplies and to package everything. If you have your own home business, how do you organize your space? I'd love to hear how others do it!

Day 5 - Mini Makeover Time

Today is Day 5 for ebeepaperie. I can't believe we officially opened our doors earlier this week! We were planning to wait a little longer, then decided there was no time like the present and started listing items in our etsy shop right away. We are also working on building a website, and that should (hopefully) be coming in the somewhat near future.

Even though we had a look in mind for the company for quite a while, last night I decided something wasn't totally right. I loved the canvas background that we were using on our banner and on our twitter page, but in the end thought it wasn't the best reflection of what I want ebeepaperie to be (fun, girly, and makes you want to sit down and write an old fashioned letter). Since the "b" in ebeepaperie is a guy, he isn't so much into pink and frilly things (and he is more behind the scenes any way), but he agreed a splash of pink was definitely was more me and more of what this company is about.

So I decided to change it up. For those of you who are new to our blog (which is pretty much everyone), here is the old look that we loved, but in the end decided wasn't right:

We also set up a link to our twitter page so you can follow us there too, and also a web link if you are so inclined to spread some ebeepaperie love.

We are just setting up shop and are thrilled to see you! While this business is new, we are not new to the stationery world. In fact, you might be able to figure out what our other company is once you see more of our designs. :)
